The international airport of Algiers - Houari Boumediene, (AITA code: ALG • OACI code: DAAG), created, is an Algerian airport, located in the commune of Dar El Beïda, 34 km far from International Conference Center of Algiers. It is the most important of all Algerian airports. Its current capacity is about 12 million passengers per year for a real flow of about 4.5 million in 2009. It is composed of a terminal for international flights, inaugurated on July 5, 2006, an air terminal for domestic flights, and a third for charter flights. Algiers airport was ranked as the best African airport in 2011. Algiers airport is an international civilian airport serving the Algerian capital and its nearby regions (wilayas of Algiers, Tipaza, Blida, Medea, Boumerdes and Tizi Ouzou). The airport has been managed since November 2006 by the airport services and infrastructure management company (SGSIA), a subsidiary of EGSA Algiers, in partnership with Aéroports de Paris (ADP).
